This is not about "Four noble truths" by Gautama Buddha. (Dukkha, it's origin, it's cessation & eight fold path) These are something I re-realized after reading some good books recently. Truth: 1 Our gift and curse is forgetfulness. It is gift to forget bad memories. But it is curse to forget all that we learned in years. I realized this when I glanced through an elementary Maths book recently. Simple things like decimal division, percent change calculations and permutations has been out of memory. I did see that this happens to lots of people. This is something like knowing to build a ship but not knowing to plug a hole... Truth: 2 Whenever there is such a hype about something there is something we miss to see. Both the engines of a plane was hit by flock of birds simultaneously. But the pilot managed to land it safely in Hudson river without any loss of life. He became a hero overnight. When I read the book "Fly by Wire" I thought it is about story of
